The challenge
Defence research files could not leave the air-gapped network, yet researchers were still drafting RFQs, sifting vendor responses, and writing technical justifications by hand. Procurement cycles ran six to ten weeks per item, and analyst time vanished into formatting and cross-referencing rather than research.
How we approached it
Ajuni deployed fully inside the DRDO air-gap with a self-hosted Llama 3.1 70B weight, sealed behind the existing perimeter. Dwight automated RFQ drafting and vendor-response triage against the lab's procurement playbook; Pragna handled literature synthesis from the internal technical library, with zero outbound calls of any kind.
Outcomes in production
- RFQ-to-PO cycle compressed from 6–10 weeks to 4 weeks
- Zero packets egressed the air-gap perimeter
- Analyst hours on formatting reduced by 70%
- Vendor-response triage signed by audit agent
- Accredited for restricted-classification workflows
