What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores when you visit a site. The next time you come back, the site can read it. We use cookies only where they earn their place.

We do not use cross-site tracking cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks. Period.

Other browser storage

Cookies are not the only way a site can store information in your browser. The same rules in this policy apply to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, the Cache API, Service Worker registrations, and any other browser storage primitive we use.

We also use small server-side analytics events (pageview pings) rather than tracking pixels or web beacons. We do not load third-party pixels from advertising networks on this site.

Legal basis

Essential cookies run on the basis of legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and are necessary for the service you have requested under the equivalent DPDP provision. They do not require consent.

Analytics cookies and any future optional category run on the basis of consent under Article 6(1)(a) and the equivalent DPDP basis. We do not set them until you accept them in the banner. Withdrawing consent from the footer link disables them within the next page load.

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to work. They hold your session, remember the cookie banner choice you made, and remember accessibility preferences like reduced motion.

They clear when you close the browser, or expire within 12 months at most. Blocking them breaks the site.

Analytics cookies

Optional. They help us see which pages get read, where people get stuck, and what content lands. IP addresses are truncated before storage. Data is aggregated before any human looks at it.

Analytics cookies are off by default. You turn them on through the banner.

What we actually set today

essential. session, cleared on browser close. Keeps your session alive across pages.

essential. cookie-preferences, 12 months. Remembers your banner choice so we do not ask twice.

essential. theme-and-motion, 12 months. Remembers light or dark mode and reduced-motion preference.

analytics. ajuni-analytics, 24 months, set only if you accept analytics. Anonymised usage data.

Third-party cookies on app subdomains are set by our authentication provider, Auth0 (Okta, Inc.). They follow the Auth0 cookie policy at https://www.okta.com/privacy-policy/, which we also link to from every sign-in screen.

Your choices

From the banner you can pick Accept all, Only essential, or Manage to fine-tune by category. You can change your choice any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

Blocking essential cookies will prevent the site from working. Blocking optional cookies has no effect on usability.

Do Not Track

We honour the Global Privacy Control signal where the browser sends it. If your browser asks us not to set non-essential cookies, we do not set them, regardless of the banner.
